I believe that a loving and all-powerful God created the universe and created us. I believe that this God is the God of the Hebrew Bible. I believe that what is recorded in the Hebrew Bible is true. I believe that the God of the Hebrew Bible came to earth approximately 2,000 years ago as the man Yeshua (which means Salvation), or as most-commonly translated, Jesus. I believe that what is recorded in the New Testament is true, that Yeshua/Jesus was crucified, killed, and rose from the dead three days later. I believe that Yeshua/Jesus is the Messiah that was promised in the Hebrew Bible. I do not believe Yeshua abolished the Torah or the traditions of Israel, as many Christians believe. I believe He fulfilled every prophecy of who the Jewish sages call “Messiah ben Joseph”, including the prophecies that say He would be rejected by His brothers for a time. The majority of Jewish sages believed there would be two Messiahs: the Suffering Servant and the Conquering King. I do not believe that the prophecies point to two Messiahs, but to one Messiah who comes twice. I believe that Yeshua came first as the Suffering Servant and He will return as the Conquering King. I believe that everyone who accepts the sacrifice that Yeshua made for us will live for eternity with God in paradise. I will post things about these topics.
And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
